Four years ago the earth lost a beautiful little girl, Jessica. Her Mother, Louise, asks that on this day, the 14th April, we remember her with joy.
I’ve followed Louise’s blog Little Hearts Big Love for many years and I was always delighted with photos of Jessica and her little sister Sophie, often in matching dresses. She was certainly a darling little girl who touched all of our hearts. I’m happy to do something in her memory and this year I’ve decided to make a Crystal Grid.
I have always had a love of crystals and the peace and power they hold. Recently, I have been learning to combine crystals with Reiki and I hope to be able to help people with distance healing. Crystal grids are new to me and something I am still learning about.
This Grid I have named Joy for Jessica. For Each grid you make an affirmation as to what your intention of the grid is for. For this one I have chosen “For every smile that Jessica had I wish a smile for everyone, the Joy that Jessica brought to everyone in life may she continue to bring forever.”
The centre stone is a quartz crystal, a feel better stone that brings happiness. It seemed the perfect stone for my intention.
The supporting stones I chose because they project the message I want to give with my grid. They contain healing stones, citrine and turquoise. Kyanite for balancing and connecting to dreams (I know that Louise dreams of Jessica often.) And there are some other stones that I instinctively picked because they reminded me of Jessica, rainbow and rose quartz and angelite. There are also some extra quartz stones to project my intention as far as possible and all the stones have been charged with my quartz wand. Standing at the top of my grid is a selenite tower which is a powerful healing crystal that promotes peace, calm and mental wellbeing. It is also the crystal that can be used to connect you to a higher realm and make you feel closer to God. I know that Louise has strong faith so I included this stone for this purpose.
I’ll be thinking of Louise and her family today and sending them love and strength. Grief is harsh but sometimes you have to feel to the pain and let it wash over you. You will know that your lost love one is near by because they are in your heart forever. Little Jessica, you will always be in my heart too, even though I never got to meet you.

Beautiful sentiments, Anne
Jessica was such a special girl. What a lovely thing to do in her honour. I know nothing about crystals so this was interesting to read and what a beautiful affirmation! x
This is beautiful, Anne. I’ve never come across the idea of a crystal grid before. I love the ones you’ve chosen and the meanings behind them and that affirmation is just beautiful. To know that Jessica’s memory continues to give joy to others and that her smile still makes others smile means so much. Thank you so much for sharing this and for joining in with#givejoyforjessica.
What a lovely thing to do in memory of Jessica, this is just beautiful. I love how you’ve put so much thought into each stone and crystal.
You are a very special friend. x
