MY WORD OF THE WEEK – Delay
I’ve just recovered this post from being my ‘default’ post for when I can’t do my Word of the Week! All because of a delay in my medication. Last week I wrote about not being able to get my prescription. I thought I’d messed up ordering on the app. But after trying again and it still didn’t work I ended up phoning the surgery. They sent my prescription to my chemist and I should have got them just before I ran out, but they decided to post them and they ended up being delaying by five days! I rationed my medication rather than go cold turkey, but for the last couple of days I literally had nothing left. Cut a long story short, it made me very ill and I didn’t think I’d be well enough to write this post.
It’s now Thursday evening so I’m managing to get this weeks Word of the Week out without delay 🙂
I had to take Star to the hospital on Monday for an Xray. When we got there we found out there was a delay in being seen and the wait was 60 minutes. I felt bad because every time we’ve been for an appointment before it’s been really quick and I’d told Star we wouldn’t have to wait. It turned out she was seen a lot quicker so now it’s just a wait to see her results.

Ahh, you must check out whether you can have your meds delivered. I usually ration or take half a dose when I am running out too. Hope Star’s results are good and that you all have a great weekend.
Delays you could have quite done without! Glad everything is sorted now, fingers crossed Star’s results come through soon.
Oh, they really didn’t make easy for you to get your medication. Seems madness that you should have gone without. I’m glad you got them and have a way to round the system for next time. Nice that you didn’t have to wait long for Star’s appointment. I’m sure you’ve seen enough of the inside of a hospital already. Thank you for hosting.
That is absolutly awful that you didn’t have your medication. There should be some sort of service that delivers it in cases like yours. I hope you are feeling much better now.

What a nightmare having your medication delayed like that. Glad you are feeling better again now that you’ve managed to get your medication again. That’s good that the delay for the X-ray wasn’t as long as anticipated. Hope that you get some answers with the results. #WotW
